

This hands-on Beginning Level Foot Reflexology class will empower you to help reduce stress throughout the body through the Reflexology map of the body on the feet.
Discover the history of Reflexology, how it works, and the many benefits as well as some contraindication/precautions of Foot Reflexology. Explore the foot reflex map with plantar view (bottom view), dorsal view (top view) and side views of the foot. At the end of this class, you will be confident to perform a one-hour Foot Reflexology Routine using six reflexing techniques. Identify several ways to incorporate Foot Reflexology with other modalities.
In the morning we will be going over a brief introduction of Foot Reflexology including the history, benefits, and precautions. You will discover the map of the foot, and how to detect possible imbalances. The remainder of the day will be practical Foot Reflexology. After a demonstration on how to work on the feet, you will be guided through performing foot reflexology on your fellow students. You will learn how much pressure to use, causes of tenderness of the feet and special approaches for supporting feet while working on the client.

Dealing With Gait and Movement Challenges using Condition Specific PNF Stretch Technique
This one day class is focused on you and providing you, as a practicing Reflexologist, an additional set of tools and techniques to benefit those clients dealing with walking, balance and movement challenges. Challenges that may be a result of the degenerative symptoms of conditions like Parkinson's Disease, MS and Stroke recovery. During this intensively hands-on experience, you will learn through demonstration and practice along with more demonstration and practice, a technique that you can begin to use immediately with your clients. These techniques can be helpful to so many cases, not just those with degenerative conditions.
